Mr. Sein Tun

Mr. Sein Tun is an Expert for Directorate of Water Resources and Improvement of River Systems (DWIR) at the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Previously, he has served in the government service from 1980 as an assistant engineer up until April 2016 which he was promoted as the Deputy Director General of DWIR, Ministry of Transport. With over 30 years of experience in the river channel improvement, water resources management and environmental conservation, Mr Sein was the former Myanmar National Focal Point to the ASEAN Working Group on Water Resources Management (AWGWRM) and former Deputy Chief Member of Myanmar JCCCN (The Joint Committee on Coordination of Commercial Navigation on Lancang-Mekong river). Mr Sein was born in Danubyu Township, Ayeyarwady Delta Region, Myanmar and received his education in Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Diploma in Environmental Engineering both from Yangon Institute of Technology.
