Prof. Maung Maung Aye

Professor Maung Maung AYE is currently the Patron & Chief Advisor of Myanmar Environment Institute (MEI). Apart from the current position Professor Maung is holding, he also has membership in few professional associations; member of Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science (MAAS), member of PhD Steering Committee in Geography, University of Yangon, President of Geographical Association of Myanmar (GAM), vice president of Environmental and Economic Research Institute (EER), Patron at Myanmar Archaeology Association (MAA), just to name a few. He specializes in few studies namely Geography, Geomorphology, Environmental Studies and Natural & Social Sciences and Professor Maung is interested in venturing into researches such as fluvial geomorphology, drainage basin morphometry, oceanography, hydrology, and other related studies. His passion in seeking and expanding his knowledge has led him in publishing a total of 33 books, 149 research papers, 29 radio and TV lessons, and
170 articles.
