Mr. Myint Lwin

Dr Myint Lwin is the National Facilitator of United Nation Network Work for Nutrition and Food security which is facilitated by UN REACH) in Myanmar. His career started in 1979 where he was a farm manager and later from 1982 until 2014, he has served as a university lecturer at Yezin Agricultural University, Myanmar and finally became a professor and dean of the university outreach campus. Dr Myint Lwin has also worked as a consultant for Inle Lake Conservation and Rehabilitation project in reducing the lake water pollution from 2010 until 2014 and in 2014 he was transferred to FAO as a National Consultant in which he still holds the position until today. Dr Myint Lwin received his Bachelor Degree from Yezin Agricultural University, Myanmar in 1978 and his Doctoral Degree from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in 2006. A total of 15 research papers has been published by
Dr Myint Lwin on Agriculture and Environment including “Study on Bioremediation of Water Contamination Caused by Nargis Cyclone around Mawlamyinegyun Area, Ayeyarwady Delta.” In 2007, he was awarded with Excellent Performance in Agricultural Field (Third Class) honoured by the State of Council, Government of Myanmar.
